BEHKO is pleased to announce that Al Wischusen joined the team as Senior Superintendent this past fall. With over 10 years of experience leading high-value, ground-up, and design-build projects from New York City to the South Carolina Lowcountry, Al brings a collaborative leadership style and proven ability to deliver efficient, high-quality outcomes on complex construction projects.
Al’s career has been defined by his ability to unite teams, solve intricate challenges, and maintain clear communication throughout every phase of construction. His expertise spans commercial warehouses, luxury residential developments, and boutique hospitality projects—each demanding a unique combination of technical precision and stakeholder coordination.
Prior to joining BEHKO, Al served as Superintendent II at Robbins, Construction Manager at Evolve Companies, and Lead Superintendent at JDS Development, where he earned a reputation for full lifecycle execution and practical innovation that keeps projects moving forward.

Al earned his Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Economics from the College of Charleston. This unique academic background has informed his people-first approach to construction leadership—understanding that successful projects are built on strong relationships, clear communication, and aligned incentives.
