BEHKO Construction is proud to introduce the BEHKO Bold Excellence Spotlight, a new community recognition program created to celebrate the people, organizations, and local leaders who are helping build a stronger future across the Lowcountry.

Rooted in BEHKO’s commitment to Bold Excellence, the program recognizes those who lead with hard work, knowledgeable execution, and an outcome-focused approach to service. Honorees may include educators, business owners, nonprofit leaders, public servants, volunteers, tradespeople, coaches, mentors, and everyday community members whose efforts are making a meaningful impact.

“At BEHKO, we believe excellence is not limited to the jobsite,” said Jordan Behringer, Managing Owner. “It shows up in classrooms, small businesses, neighborhoods, nonprofits, and community spaces every day. The Bold Excellence Spotlight is our way of recognizing the people who are doing the work, solving problems, and helping build a better version of tomorrow.”

Community members are invited to nominate individuals, businesses, and organizations who embody Bold Excellence through leadership, service, craftsmanship, innovation, resilience, or measurable community impact.

Selected honorees will be recognized through BEHKO’s website, social media channels, community storytelling, and additional recognition opportunities throughout the year.

What Bold Excellence Means

We Recognize Impact That Moves the Community Forward

Bold Excellence can take many forms.

It may look like a teacher creating new opportunities for students.
A local business delivering exceptional service.
A nonprofit leader solving a critical need.
A volunteer showing up consistently when others need help.
A tradesperson mentoring young talent.
A public servant leading with accountability.
A neighbor turning an idea into meaningful action.

No matter the role, Bold Excellence is defined by purpose, effort, skill, and impact.
