Razvan was born and raised in Romania. Following his high school graduation, Raz came to the United States as an international student at the United States Military Academy at West Point where he received a BS in civil engineering. Immediately following his undergraduate program, he earned his master’s degree in structural engineering at Virginia Tech.

After graduation he joined an international consulting firm and worked on various design and construction projects with a focus on the ports and marine industry. His accomplishments led him to Berenyi in 2017. Raz quickly become an integral part of the proven design-build team as a project manager, and as a result of his remarkable organizational abilities, engineering skill, and industry expertise, he was promoted in 2021 to Managing Partner.

Raz works directly with Berenyi clients from concept to completion and oversees planning, design, development, and implementation with our internal team to ensure successful project delivery. With his proclivity for organizational standards and efficiencies, he has designed and introduced advanced processes that continue to distinguish Berenyi as the industry leader.

Raz and his wife, Caitlin, live in Charleston, South Carolina with their son and daughter. When you visit the Berenyi corporate office in Charleston, you likely will be greeted by Raz’s two friendly, lovable golden retrievers, Rudy and Cheema.
